The free throw line in Jr. High is 15 feet from the backboard. This is the same distance at all levels of play. I have seen some sights that show a different distance for Jr. High Free throws but that was either a mistake or some local variance.

How far is the free throw line from the backboard in high school basketball?

Answer 15 feet. The center of the goal is 13 feet 9 inches from the back of the free throw line. From the center of the goal to the backboard it is 1 foot 3 inches. 13' 9" + 1' 3" = 15 ' Typical placement of the backboard is to have its back 15 feet from the back of the free throw line, and inside the base line by 4 feet. This is why the arc falls off at 5 feet 3 inches ( 63") from the base line. ( The beginning of the corners )
