Start off with a cheap second hand store and a factory strung Lacrosse stick. Use it ALOT if your just beginning. Im on numerous state teams and am looking for a scholarship.Start of cheap. Its not the stick, Its the player. Onve you hit the wall 30 minutes each day, Make sure you do 50 right hand 50 left. Then once you get superb with that stick, Upgrade your sticks. Upgrade your gear if you have to.

well if your talking about the most popular form of lacrosse (field lacrosse, like the one in college) then you can technically hold the ball as long as you want to, If you are playing Box Lacrosse however, you have 30 seconds to take a shot (it resets after each shot) or you and your team will lose possesion of the ball.
