Your son or daughter has to play at a reasonable level of football, for example a local youth football club, then develop there game and move up into the district/ county team. Then this is where professional clubs come in, they send scouts out to watch teams and if your child is lucky enough they will then go to that professional club for a trial and if they pass this trial they will be asked to sign a contract , if they are aged between 9 and 16 they will be signing a school boy contract and once they hit 16 the club will ask you to sign another contract to commit there future to the club.
