well what do you define as a beginners backflips? A backflip is simply four steps:
1.Jump up not backwards, it depletes your height if you jump backwards, you also need to throw your arms up into the air(this really makes a difference if you don't do this you will get little height and probably hurt your self).
2.Tuck really tight when your at the peek of you jump, that means grabbing your arms around your legs and pulling your legs into you body tightly.
3.lean backwards so you rotate.
4.spot the ground and land, mostly its a feeling, when you feel your body is about upright just untuck and try to land.
some tips: start by getting a spotter to help you filp. all the spotter has to do is put 1 hand on your back and 1 hand near your thighs. also try going to a gymnasim.
You can do what i did which is learn on a trampoline or some people pools, then try off some high platforms i did it off sand dunes at the beach, the moved to grass slops and finally flat ground grass and concrete. BUT I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS WAY!!!!
This move requires a hell of a lot of confidence so if you are really scared DO NOT DO IT BECAUSE YOU WILL BAIL AND REALLY HURT YOURSELF!!!!!!!
Heres some YouTube tutorials I used when i first started:

This leads on to some really cool moves like x-outs, flash kicks and gainers.
REMEMBER THIS IS A VERY DANEROUS MOVE SO PLEASE BECAREFUL!!!! DO THIS MOVE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!
Have fun and good luck! :)

most beginners start with taking classes in gymnastics. if you are a beginner i wouldn't start by being on a cheer team first. i would take tumbling classes at gymnastics gyms or cheer gyms that are local. you would first start with front rolls and cartwheels. then you will do round-offs and then flip-flops. then you would start running back-tucks.then standing back-tucks. after you have excellent technique and power in your tumbling you will start layouts then fulls. then in the meantime you can do standing tumbling like flip flop tucks 2 flip flops and a tuck. and flip flop fulls. the last thing you should really learn is usually running arabians and standing fulls. after you have different tumbling skills you can mix up tumbling passes and combine different things. if you don't know what these are then you should start classes and you will find out. but really , don't try any of these at home unless you have been trained and have learned the proper technique. good luck with tumbling !
Step 1: Pick music that you think would be great for a Cheerleading dance. Step 2: Ask about 10 friends to be in the cheerleading dance. Then, listen to the song(s) you are using and make a routine that fits the music. Edit: You may want to speed up some songs if they are too slow. Also, if this is Anna Krywalski...I hate you.
