Before you do anything else, plan out the gym/arena. Make sure you have your floor plans, bathrooms, locker rooms, electricity, etc. on paper. First, you put the foundation of the gym first. Second, you have to measure how far u want the bleachers away from the court and how you would put them on there. Build the from the ground up and make sure the walls are all even according to your plans. Next, you would measure and build your roof (depending on the height of it). To do this, you have to have solid metal, or else the gym would fall. Install lighting and any signs you wish to put up. After 100% completely covering your roof/ceiling and walls, you can begin installing the court, scoreboard, seats, paint, etc. to your gym.
If you want a center-hung scoreboard like some high schools do, your roofing has to be taller, so it can hand and not be hit by any high shots. These scoreboards hang from the top, by thing, strong metallic chains. These chains have to be specifically designed to hang these heavy boards from the ceiling.
If you want ceiling hanging Basketball goals, consult with the company first, so they can tell you how they would install it. Basketball gyms go from anywhere aroung 500-1,000 even some 3 or 4,000 seats. NBA arenas are the most difficult, because they are bigger. They range from 17-21,000 seats.
