How do countryies get chosen in the FIFA World Cup?

There is a random draw, from four pots. Pot 1 is the elite teams and tournament hosts. Pot 2 is teams from Asia, CONCACAF and Oceania. Pot 3 is teams from Africa and CONMEBOL. And pot 4 is the European teams. There are 8 groups, each with 4 teams.
