The cost of creating a stadium at that elevation for the Chiefs, Raiders, Dolphins, Cowboys and Buccaneers was probably considered, but it surely left no money left over for staff, players or vendors. It was a great Public relations idea and a potential architetctural World Wonder, but the Elevator costs staggerred the mind and where would the Tail Gate Parties be held? Denver was fortunate enough to have a chunk or grass that already was close to that elevation and the NFL gave it a chance.

The Denver Broncos play in Denver because that was where the original owner, decided they were going to be from. If they were in Chicago, they could be the Chicago Broncos.

Your geography must be a little rusty. Denver is in the state of Colorado, and it coincidentally happens to be the city represented by the Broncos. Put two and two together.
