a swing is more than just moveing your bat and hitting the ball. its a perfect indicatoin of rhe heart of a softball player. if there swing is well concentrated then you know that the batter wants to hit the ball and works 24/7 to perfect there swing. just because a girl doesnt hit the ball doesnt mean they aren't a good softball player. it means they couldn't find there pitch, they can't concentrate or they just don't care. the farthher the ball is hit the harder they swing the bat the more heart and ambition it showa. to be good work hard.
This is becoming a big debate on teaching the basics of the softball swing. There are two swings that are taught now. The traditional linear bat swing which uses mostly arms and the other is called rotational hitting where the rotation of the hips is where the power of the swing comes from. I prefer the rotational hitting because on a scientific point of view this movement shows that this motion uses more muscle strength to generate power in your swing. The quick rotation of the bat will also help on the speed of the ball out of the bat upon contact. The rotational swing helps a batter have the power needed in every swing. to analyze this swing you can check: http://www.softballperformance.com/blog/hitting-what-makes-manny-ramirez-such-a-good-hitter/
Softball is awsome it is great!
its the amount of elasticity in in the club head shaft at the peak of your backswing. the more you have the better timing you have and the more power you will will get.
The number itself means nothing, it's an arbitrary number made up by the manufacturer. The important thing to know is Miken, Easton and DeMarini are the major manufacturers which offer 2 flexes in the handles. Basically, the stiff handle is for players with faster swing speeds and the less stiff handle is for players who need more whip to improve bat speed. There is diminishing return if you have a fundamentally sound swing and use a regular flex handle - the barrel head will lag behind. So, if you are a power hitter get the stiff flex handle. If you're not, get the regular flex handle.
The hardest to me is softball but they rank basketball number 4 and softball number 9 on how hard it is.
In softball, the ball is bigger. Baseball pitchers pitch the ball overhand while softball pitchers pitch underhand. Baseball is more of a boys sport and softball is generally more for girls.
yes, usually a heavyer bat will make the ball go farther, but if it's too heavy it willl slow your swing and you won't get a very good hit. I lighter bat will help you swing faster and you will pull the ball more.
Soft-toss is when you throw a softball in a small arch in front of a batter who then hits it into a net or fence. This helps to develop muscle memory of the correct way to hit a softball. It also helps with developing more bat control and more power.
There are more than 1,200 colleges that have softball programs.
you should, if you want to learn how to hit a softball and/or baseball with MUCH more power. See Steve Zawrotny's writings for more about this... you shouldn't if you want your basketball to last long and be useful for...basketball. you should, if you want to learn how to hit a softball and/or baseball with MUCH more power.
