They both play in a shipyard
Rugby and Soccer are alike because they consist of using a circular ball to score
the question should be why is football called soccer in the states? doesnt it make sense that a game played almost entirely using your feet be called football?
Not at all. Polo is a ball game played on horseback using Polo sticks whereas football (Soccer) is played on foot.
"Football" or Soccer is the most watched, most played and most popular sport in the world. Anytime you use the word Football, the search engines will lead you to Football (Soccer). Try typing in "American Football" as the sport using the oval, hand thrown, run ball should probably just be called "Gridiron" to save confusion. You can also narrow your search by using the terms NFL, or NCAA, or Arena, to describe the particular form of US football you are searching.
in soccer ypu can't use your hands and it is 90 minutes plus extra time, while football you can use your feet and hands and it is 4 15 minute quarters and an overtime period if necessary
We call a soccer ball a football in all countries other than the USA
You can wear soccer cleats to play american football but it is less than ideal. Soccer cleats do not have a stud on the toe of the cleat like football cleats do. This make it much easier to run, cut and dig into the grass. Most football cleats are also higher and more supportive than soccer cleats. Although if you are a field goal kicker/ punter or kicker in American Football - they all wear soccer cleats. Basically you CAN wear soccer cleats to play American football but you CAN NOT wear American Football cleats to play Soccer.
It is soccer in america. A game which involves putting a round ball into the oppositions goal only using your feet.
They are plastic coverings for your shin when playing football(soccer)/rugby ect... You attatch them to your leg using velcro usually.
No, The Romans invented football, it was introduced to the UK by Roman legions, who played the game using the decapitated head of British savages, the game evolved obviously to modern day sports like soccer, football, gridiron etc etc
In football, also known as soccer, the rules for playing with a soccer ball include using only your feet, head, or body to move the ball, not using your hands except for the goalkeeper, and trying to score goals by kicking the ball into the opposing team's net. Other rules include no pushing, tripping, or fouling opponents, and playing on a rectangular field with specific dimensions.
Soccer is one such sport.
