No one. Deion Sanders has played in both the World Series (1992 Atlanta Braves) and Super Bowl (1994, SuperBowl XXIX, San Francisco, 1995, SuperBowl XXX, Dallas Cowboys), but the Atlanta Braves lost the World Series in his only appearance.
Yes. The Steelers defeated the Cowboys in Super Bowl XIII played January 21, 1979 and the Pirates defeated the Orioles in the 1979 World Series. Then the 1979 Steelers defeated the Rams in Super Bowl XIV which was played in 1980.
World series masters suck
I will answer this two ways: 1) The first city to have a team win a Super Bowl and a World Series in the same calender year was New York. The New York Jets won Super Bowl III, played January 12, 1969 and the New York Mets won the 1969 World Series. 2) The first city to have a team win a Super Bowl and World Series in each sport's respective season was Pittsburgh. The Pittsburgh Pirates won the 1979 World Series and the Pittsburgh Steelers won the Super Bowl played for the 1979 season, that being Super Bowl XIV played on January 20, 1980. The New England Patriots and the Boston Red Soxs both won their respective championships in 2004 being the first to do so.
There was no World Series in 1876. The first World Series was played in 1903.
The 2005 World Series was played in Chicago and Houston.
The World Series was first played in 1903, so no one played in 1379.
Since the first World Series in 1903 the World Series was played every year but 1904, and 1994.
Today, most World Series games are played at night.
The first World Series was played in 1903
