I can'T see how the initials stand for National Football League. the Masons have their own iconography such as the G-and chevron-arch thing- so-called compass and square. The so-called All-Seeing Eye- not to be confused with guide dogs for the blind, that is merely Seeing Eye, is identified with Providence- e.g. God and this is a Masonic symbol. I have seen it in a Catholic Church on a stained glass window so it is not confined to the Masons.
