The Steelers do not retire numbers. The commonly understood reasoning is that there were so many great players, especially during the 70's, that there would be no numbers left to use.

But one will notice that the number 12 has not, and dare I say, will never be used by any other quarterback on this team. Bradshaw is never far from the minds of any true fan in the Steeler Nation! And Terry will forever be know as the greatest QB of all time! They all line up behind him as the 1st QB to win the most coveted Super Bowl wins, and that is truly the definition of the greatest QB!
