Yes .... his brother Paul played 9 seasons in MLB for the St. Louis Cardinals, New York Giants, and St. Louis Browns and was a teammate of Dizzy's on the Cardinals between 1934-1937.

===================================================

Together they were known as "Dizzy" Dean and "Daffy" Dean.

I still remember Dizzy Dean and Pee Wee Reese on the CBS coverage of Saturday afternoon Baseball, back in the days before color television. By about the fourth inning they were into the sauce and by the seventh inning stretch they were sometimes slurring their words. If the game went into extra innings, ol' Diz would haul out his harmonica and start playing tunes.

A home run: "That ball was tagged, fans!"

A foul ball: "That was just a long, loud strike."
