Super Bowl XXXVwas played on January 28, 2001 34-7 where the Giants had no offensive score. The only Giant score came on a 97 yard kick-off return from Ron Dixon. Garret's time at the Tampa Bay Buccineers in 2004 had no appearance in a superbowl or a playoff game due to a 5-11 record.

Jason Garrett was a member of the 1993 Dallas Cowboys who beat the Buffalo Bills 30-13 in Super Bowl XXVIII and the 1995 Dallas Cowboys who won Super Bowl XXX, beating the Pittsburgh Steelers 27-17. He did not play in either game.
