Yes, the Hamilton Tigers (1920 - 1925) were the relocated Quebec Bulldogs, a charter member of the NHL. After the Tigers' players went on strike during the 1925 playoffs because they were expected to play for free during the playoffs, they were moved to New York, where they became the New York Americans. This in spite of the fact that they enjoyed excellent fan support in Hamilton.
