No, he started in the majors with Boston Red Sox, played mainly as a Yankee, and somewhat oddly ended his pro career with the Boston Braves. He never servced as a Manager, though the idea was tossed around. It was claimed he could not manage his serious drinking problem, let alone a Baseball team. so much for Mr.7l4 Home runs.

The Los Angeles Dodgers didn't exist when Babe Ruth played. The BROOKLYN (NY) Dodgers did exist... And Ruth didn't play for them either.

Ruth did play for the Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees and Boston (or was it Milwaukee?) Braves.

If you've seen any photos of him in Dodger blue, it is because he took the job as 1st base coach...which didn't last long. He really wanted to manage the Yankees, but that was never going to happen.

Yes, at Crosley Field between May 26-28, 1935 when he was with the Boston Braves. He played left field in two games and was a pinch hitter in the other.
