The Pittsburgh Steelers are first, followed by the Dallas Cowboys; each has more then 400 wins since the merger. In terms of Superbowls; the Pittsburgh Steelers (6) are first again, followed by the Dallas Cowboys and the San Francisco 49ers (5).
Actually, the Dallas Cowboys haven't been based in Dallas for more than 40 years. During the 1971 season, the Cowboys switched from the downtown Cotton Bowl to the brand-new Texas Stadium, located in the suburb of Irving. In 2004, the City of Arlington approved a sales tax increase designed to subsidize a 30-year, $325 million bond package to help pay for a new stadium for the Cowboys. The stadium opened in 2009 and is considered one of the finest sports arenas in the National Football League. Before the 2013 season, the Cowboys entered into a sponsorship agreement with AT&T, and Cowboys Stadium was renamed AT&T Stadium. It is estimated that the naming-rights deal is worth as much as $18 million a year to the Cowboys. In 2013, the Cowboys also announced they would move their headquarters and practice facility from Valley Ranch in Irving to the suburb of Frisco, about 30 miles north of Dallas. The Frisco City Council and the local school board approved a $115 million agreement to build a complex that will include new offices for the Cowboys as well as an indoor stadium/practice facility. The school district will provide $30 million, and the agreement will allow its high schools to play games in the new stadium. The move is expected to be completed in time for the 2016 National Football League season.
