a Golf ball because it is has a higher weight to cross sectional area ratio. ( weight to drag

) The inverse of this is why a bean will fall faster than a feather of the same weight.

Also a golf ball has divots that allow it to fly thru the air faster

they both hit the ground at the same time

Answer:

This is dependent on many conditions. Typically the answer is given as "they both hit the ground at the same time", however this depends on:

  • is the ball thrown level to the starting point
  • is the ball thrown in an atmosphere or vacuum
  • how fast is the ball thrown (if thrown fast enough it will go into orbit and never hit the ground)
  • is the ball thrown on an imaginary level plane or real world location like the surface of the Earth
  • is the ball spinning (and which way) as a top down spin in the direction of travel will make the ball loft more than a no spin toss

Yes, but if it isn't swung at, it would be a Ball.

If dropped at the exact same time from the same height, while ignoring wind resistance, they should hit the ground at the same time.

If we drop from the same height, and neglect the air resistance, both hit at once.

If pitch hits ground in fastpitch baseball then hits the batter does he go to first?

A pitched ball can hit the ground before crossing home-plate. In most cases the batter would not swing and the pitch would be called a ball. But, if the batter decides the swing, the ball is still in play after hitting the ground and the batter may not hit the ball and receive a strike, or he may foul the ball, or hit a base-hit.

If the ball hits pitcher and then caught is it considered an out?

No. Its like it hit the ground.

Little league ball is hit and bounces back toward batter it hits batters helmet and goes out of bounds Is the batter out?

If the baseball hit the ground in foul territory, the ball is a foul ball. If the baseball hit the ground in fair territory, and the batter/runner is still in the batter's box when the baseball hits him, it is a foul ball. If the baseball hit the ground in fair territory and the batter/runner is out of the batter's box when the baseball hits him, the batter/runner is out and the ball is dead.

In racquet ball how can you tell if the ball hit the floor or ground first?

The ball usually hits them both at approximately the same time. If you are having difficulty telling if the ball hit the front wall or the floor/ground first, you can usually tell by the angle of deflection off the front wall. If the ball bounces up, it more than likely hit the ground first. If the ball bounces straight out, it usually means it hit the wall first. At higher speeds though, it becomes more difficult to tell but most people who can hit it fast enough to have this problem can tell by how they hit it if it was good or not. If it is a point of contention, just play the point over.

If a ball is hit and hits third base then defelets into foul ground is it a fair or foul ball?

What will hit the ground first a bowling ball or an apple?

Assuming both were dropped from the same height above ground, in a vacuum both would hit the ground at the same time. In a significant atmosphere (e.g. average ground-level on Earch) the bowling ball would hit the ground first.

Which direction will ball spin when it hits the ground?

A ball doesn't start spinning just because it has hit the ground. It might roll or bounce but not spin. If it does then it depends on the spin you put on it before it hits the ground.

Will a bowling ball or golf ball hit the ground first?

The bowling ball will hit the ground first because it has more mass than the golf ball, so it experiences a greater force of gravity pulling it downward. This causes the bowling ball to accelerate more quickly than the golf ball, making it reach the ground sooner.
