Can a runner be call out for running out of baseline not avoiding a tag?

The runner can run 3 feet on either side of the base line. The base line is defined as a straight line from the runner to the base at the time the tag is attempted.7.08Any runner is out when --(a) (1) He runs more than three feet away from his baseline to avoid being tagged unless his action is to avoid interference with a fielder fielding a batted ball. A runner's baseline is established when the tag attempt occurs and is a straight line from the runner to the base he is attempting to reach safely

Does a baseball player have to step on second base to get a player out?

I assume this is in response to the call made in the 2009 ALCS (NYY v. LAA). Sometimes the runner going to second will be called out even if the fielder covering the base did not actually touch the base. this is to avoid injury by having a runner slide into the fielders leg. This also allows a faster throw to first in a double play (the fielder doesn't have to look down). However the umpire has the right to call the runner safe if the base is not touched. I am an umpire, and i know that the call made in the game was right. people just aren't used to it. But as we umpires say, we call it like we see it.

Does a runner have to slide into a base?

When proceeding to first a runner can not retreat towards home nor can they come to a complete stop of forward motion. If they do either of these the the runner is to be called out without need of a tag on the runner or the base. This only applies to a runner between home and first.

Is it true runners must stay within the baseline while running to a base in kickball?

Not necessarily. A runner is called out if he intentionally leaves the baseline to avoid being tagged, but if he's simply taking a wide turn around a base that's perfectly legal.

If a player is in the line of the runner and the runner runs into the player are they out?

If the fielder has fielded a ball and has it in his possesion yes. If the fielder is in the path of the base and does not have the ball, the answer is no New answer: The fielder may enter the base path to field a BATTED ball and the runner must avoid contact whether the fielder has possession or not. The above answer is correct for a thrown ball only. (ie. the third baseman cannot position himself on the basepath while waiting for a throw from left field while the runner is advancing from 1st to 3rd on a hit.

What is the rule for Little League when sliding head first to home for Junior Level of play?

There are two situations. (1) If the catcher (or any defensive player) has possession of the ball the runner (Rule 7.08(a)(2) the runner is out if "the runner does not slide or attempt to get around a fielder who has the ball and is waiting to make the tag." In addition, if the umpire judges that the runner was malicious and trying to injure the fielder (including the catcher) the umpire may eject the player. However, if the catcher does NOT have possession of the ball and therefore is not waiting to make the tag, the catcher is guilty of obstruction (Rule 2.00, definition of obstruction). If the umpire makes this judgement, the runner would be awarded the base to the runner. This does not give the runner free license to slam into the catcher. Again, if the umpire judges the runner was malicious, the runner would be awarded the base (including scoring the run) and then the umpire may eject the player. In addition, if the umpire judges that the catcher was malicious and was malicious in their action (causing injury to the runner), the catcher may be ejected. So the bottom line is that the runner and catcher are expected to avoid malicious contact.

Do runner beans like lime?

No, runner beans do not like lime as they prefer slightly acidic soil conditions. Adding lime to the soil can make it too alkaline for runner beans to thrive, leading to poor growth and yield. It's best to avoid adding lime and instead focus on providing well-draining soil rich in organic matter for optimal growth.
