Because the Oilers suck in general
The Edmonton Oilers and Calgary Flames
I hate to say this, but as an Oiler fan myself, it all depends on the veiwpoint of who your asking: the Oilers fans or the Flames fans. This past year, both teams really did a good job of losing their games in the pre-playoffs, not to mention the support of their fans. So it depends on what people think. However, the Oilers were certainly more successful at winning the Stanley Cup 7 times (I think it's 7 times...correct me if I'm wrong...), and the Flames only won the Cup once or twice. So in that context, then certainly the Oilers WERE better than the Flames. But in the past couple years? That's an altogether different story!!
