The NCAA ball is slightly smaller and has white stripes inset from either end, running halfway around the ball (on the two panels that join the laces).

Typical collegiate balls are 11.25 to 11.5 inches long by 6.7 inches max diameter.

Official NFL footballs are by 6.7 to 6.8 inches in diameter and with a length of 11.9 inches.

This is defined by:

Short Circumference: 20 3/4"- 21 1/4"

Long Circumference 27 3/4 "- 28 1/2'

This describes the NFL ball:

It is an inflated rubber bladder filled with 12 1/2 to 13 1/2 pounds of air, covered with pebble grained leather (pigskin) of tan color. It approximates a prolate spheroid with a long axis of 11-11 1/4 inches and a circumference of 28-28 1/2 inches. It weighs 14-15 ounces. The ball bears the signature of the league commissioner. Until recently the home team was responsible for providing a set number of game balls for game day, but the league (NFL) now makes the officials inflate and certify the official game balls, including a certain number marked with a K to be used only for kicks. One source says a quantity of 36 balls for outdoor games and 24 for indoors is supplied.

No. NFL footballs are longer and skinnier than college balls. This makes it easier to throw an NFL ball but easier to kick an NCAA ball.

Both the NCAA and the NFL footballs have the same specifications. The specifications of these footballs are: Short Circumference: 20 3/4"- 21 1/4": Long Circumference 27 3/4 "- 28 1/2 "; Weight: approximately 14-15 oz.

no they are the same.

Thats not true. NCAA (college) is slightly smaller while the NFL football is wider. The NFL football makes it a slight challenge for QBs and Kickers to hold the ball.

In college, the football includes a white stripe making it easier to view in flight. Otherwise, contrary to popular belief, the specifications, according to rule books, are identical.
