no its not theres still many pro teams out there.
While the NHL is the top, the best, pro league in the world with 30 teams, there are many pro leagues throughout the world. There are at least 6 pro leagues in North America alone besides the NHL. Then you must consider that Sweden, Russia, Finland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, ETC, have their own pro leagues. For example there are at least three levels of pro hockey in Sweden alone that I know of. I haven't counted all teams in all leagues, but I would be safe in saying that there are at least several hundred pro teams in the world, even in Australia.
they all were already playing pro hockey before they goined the olymics.
I would differentiate between national teams of various hockey playing countries and teams in pro leagues such as the NHL. If a nation could take all its best players in their prime, the top teams would be Canada, Russia, Sweden, Finland, and the United States. The top pro teams would probably be teams in the NHL such as Boston Bruins, Vancouver Canucks, Washington Capitals, Philadelphia Flyers and Detroit Red Wings, among others.
If you are talking about all time greatest pro hockey teams, then the Montreal Canadiens of the 1970's would have to be ranked number 1. I would then say the Detroit Red Wings are a very distant second. As far as the best teams of this decade, the New Jersey Devils would rank high up in that debate, though probably the best team of this decade is again the Detroit Red Wings.
Iowa has no pro teams
The professional men's sports teams that do not begin with an s are these teams. There are a variety of types of teams out there. For example, there are many soccer teams, football teams, and baseball teams. There are also hockey teams, lacrosse teams, and more.
30 hockey teams in the league
