the staple for sports at most schools is for boys football and for girls netball and in the summer cricket for boys and athletics for both. However the alternative for boys is definetly rugby and for girls hockey. This is reflected in adult life with the popularity of football making it by far the most played sport for men and women at grass roots level with rugby and cricket also being popular but unable to compete with the massive appeal of football which is played in thousands of leagues at different levels throughout Britan from professional levels to pub teams competing on a Sunday

Can you take food and drink into wembley stadium?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

In short - NO.

You are not permitted to take any bottle (plastic or glass), can, or drinking glass into the stadium. If you wish to take your own drinks in, then they need to be cartons (juice etc) or those squeezy packs that some sports drinks come in. (Lucozade Sport etc) - but this is at the total discretion of the stadium.

Food - nothing at all is allowed in. You might get away with a pack of chewing gum.

Inside you can buy many types of hot food and drinks, but at quite high prices.

What are some useful wing attack netball tips?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Wing AttackIt does help to be fast but WA needs to be smart. They need to know when to change things up (e.g a centre pass- not always running to the sam spot) and they need to be good at reading the shooting circle, know when the shooters want it and where. WA is a heaps fun position as it is actually the controller on the court not the centre, the centre is the fill in and follows the flow of the court, the WA creates the flow.

Soccer. That's about it. But it depends on what part of Europe. Hockey is pretty big in Scandinavia; you have a lot of Rugby in the British Isles. I would name soccer as the outright winner for sports in Europe (and pretty well everywhere else in the world).

How do professional sports rank in international popularity?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Soccer (Internationally known as football [Futbal]) is clearly the winner in this competition, the World Cup is the most popular single sporting event of the year.

Basketball is a large part of the Summer Olympics, and it also has a separate world championship (I cannot say whether it is every year or not)

Men's Ice Hockey is by far the most prominent event in the Winter Olympics, and this past year set records for Winter Olympic TV Views.

Ice Hockey is prominent in North America, Europe, Northern and Eastern Asia, and is now gaining some popularity in the Middle East believe it or not!

American Football is not commonly played in any other countries, (however Rugby is internationally popular)

Baseball is somewhat popular in other countries, but not as popular as the influence Hockey and Basketball and Soccer have
