It's the old thing of 'supply' and 'demand'. The demand is always high, and people are not apt to leave the stadium to eat, so they can literally charge what they want. People will pay it ... or starve ... Same is true with the $5 charge for 6 ounces of soda pop.

Very simple to figure out. Most stadiums charge 50% or more rent on concessions (depending on the contract). Ive even heard of some stadiums ending up over 60%.

So figure your Average beer cost .90 cents and is sold for 10.00.

So 10/Sales tax-Rent-Foodcost.

based on our example we will say
7% sales Tax
55% rent
.90 cents food cost
Before that vendor even pays for labor, overhead, deprectiation, etc.
They are only getting 3.31cents before paying a person to sell it.
