No. The key word here is "professional" and this means that money is made from the selling of tickets and other items. The taxpayer shouldn't have to pay for facilities for a profit making business. Not all taxpayers watch sports so that also means they are supporting something with the tax dollars that can be used in other places to benefit the common good.
