IRB regulations start that the wideth of a pitch shall not exceed 70 meters from touch line to touch line and the length not exceed 100 meters goal line to goal line. The in goal area shall not exceed 22 meters in depth
The penalty mark is 12 yards from the goal line.
The length goal line to goal line is 100 meters and from touch line to touch line its 69 meters. Both sizes are regulated by the IRB.
Under IRB rules it may NOT exceed 100 meters goal line to goal line with an in goal area of no more that 22 meters behind each post. The pitch cannot exceed 70 meters touch line to touch line

The pitch is normally (NRL REGS) 100 meters in length goal line to goal line its is marked across the centre line (50m) each half is then lined off (fron the centre line ) 10 metres.
