I actually disagree with that view point, as a trampoline manufacturer we do believe that the weather elements do and eventually will have an effect on your trampoline if left outside unconvered. We strongly recommend using a trampoline cover to not only prolong the life of your trampoline, but to kep safe as well. The trampoline must not be used while wet as the trampoline bed is manufactured using an oil based substance and becomes slippery when wet. So in essence we recommend using trampoline covers at all times, and yes the rain does have long term and damaging effect on your trampoline. The pads and the frame will eventually detoriate if left outside uncovered over long periods of time.
