London hosted the games in 1908, 1948, and 2012. They would have hosted the games in 1944 had they not been cancelled that year due to some minor unpleasantness in Europe. (However, had they done so, they almost certainly wouldn't have done it again four years later as well.)

Athens held the games in 1896, 1906, and 2004. The 1906 games were an anomaly in that they weren't on the usual four-year schedule, but they were at the time considered to be "Olympics" even by the International Olympic Committee ... the plan was for Athens to host every four years with some other city also hosting every four years, so that the Olympics would occur overall every two years. That didn't pan out, and the 1906 Intercalated Olympics were the only ones ever done on this schedule. Still, Athens was the host city for the games three times a full 8 years before London managed it.
