Not that I agree with it, but three basic reasons scouts passed on him last year:
1. Under six feet which, by today's standard, is considered small for a goalie
2. Unorthodox style of play - not your typical out and challenge butterfly goalie
3. Unproven in NA hockey - scared scouts off as last year's WJ may have been a fluke...but having proven himself at the WJ again this year, the house money is on him to go in the 2011 draft for sure
