The definition of health is:
Health is physical, mental, and social wellbeing.
Taking part in sport can contribute to all of these.
Practicing sport not only keeps you fit and healthy, but it can also contibute to the social aspect too. Practicing with others allows for interaction with people, keeping you socially healthy. Sport can also help your mental wellbeing, as practicing sport can improve your self esteem if you win, and improve your determination if you don't.
Young people enjoy playing sports for many reasons. For one, they (usually) don't have a job and besides school, look for things to do in their leisure time. It may appear to be a stereotypical thing of children, but in fact, many kids do play sports in their past-time just to have fun with their friends, practice or get better to achieve certain goals, or simply because it comes to them easily in their young/fresh bodies (as opposed to "older" people, who may find it harder to do some physical activities).

Students must take part in sports, as sport helps to keep them on healthy diets and fit. If they don't take part in sports at school, they'd be lazy and that is one reason why some children get obese.
