He is most remembered as a screwball pitcher who struck out 5 future hall of fame players (Babe Ruth, Lou Gerhig, Jimmy Foxx, Al Simmons, and Joe Cronin) consecutively in the 1934 all star game played in the Giants home park, the Polo Grounds.
