Gale Sayers retired from the Chicago Bears, and professional football in 1976. Since that time, he was the Athletic Director for Southern Illinois University. In 1984, he founded a computer supply company. Today he runs the same company, though it has been rebranded and is now a consulting firm as well. He remains chairman.
