i think that the most popular car was the bronco because of how quick it would go to certain places.also how nice it was.

My guess would be the 1950 Oldsmobile. This was the second year for the Olds Rocket V-8 engine. It was the car to beat back then, in the USA anyway.

There isn't data that compares individual model sales and models were updated and changed over the years. However, Chevy sold the most cars during the 1950s at over 13 million units. This included their iconic '57 Chevy.

In 1985 the best sports car available was the Porsche 944. It was more affordable and more desirable than the 85' Corvette which was the second most popular of the year

A lot of car aficionados argue that the only real sports car in American is the Corvette. Sales of the Corvette were excellent in 1985 as they tend to be most years, if you are using sales to define "popular." This is a fascinating article on the subject of the Corvette and its enduring popularity: http://euroexpos.net/Corvette-Comparison-1985-European-Sports-Cars.html
