Proffesional Wrestling by far. They Sell out Every arena they go to, and with last years wrestlemania 23 attendance, will likely never be beat, over 80,000 people were in attendance. On average every week at least 30,000 people are in arenas veiwing either ECW RAW or SMACKDOWN.

Professional wrestling is not a sport, it is entertainment. If we're talking about professional sports, try football, college football, College Basketball, Baseball etc. etc. etc.

Horse racing is number one in attendance.

Although an 'official attendance' has never been announced for any race, that would be the Indianapolis 500 car race. The owners of the track have never given attendance figures for any race nor figures for how many seats are at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway where the 500 is held. In 2003, the Indianapolis Star newspaper took six months inspecting seating at the track and 'counting' the number. They came up with 257,325 permanent seats which are sold out for each event. Adding the thousands that are in the infield for the race, the Star estimates the annual attendance at 300,000.

The Indianapolis 500 car race.

While the owners of the track never give out the attendances, it is reported that there are at least 250,000 seats in the stands and thousands watch the race from the infield.

This is the wrong answer. The US Pro Cycling tour in 2013 was the most attendance sporting event last year in the US with over 1 million people traveling more than 50 miles to see the event in person (click on the link below for more information).

Worldwide the Tour de France has between 15 and 16 million in attendance nothing is even close to this.

AMERICAN FOOTBALL= HIGH SCHOOL, COLLEGE, AND THE NFL COMBINE FOR HUGE ATTENDANCE RECORDS. Al ot of stadiums have over 75000 capacity. In Mexico Soccer is most popular and in Canada Hockey is the most popular sport but their attendance and stadiums do not compare to the United States.

Horse racing. If you factor in races like the Kentucky Derby, the Preakness, and the Belmont as well as the Breeders Cup races, the attendance numbers in the hundreds of thousands.
