Mark Inglis lost his legs after being caught in a storm near the summit of Mt Cook in 1982. He and his climbing partner Phillip Doole both lost their legs to frostbite. They were rescued after thirteen and 1/2 days spent in a cave near the summit of the mountain. He summited Everest in 2006 on carbon fiber prosthetic legs which were made by one of his Everest climbing team - Wayne "Cowboy" Alexander.

Mark Inglis, was amputated both legs after being frost bitten, but conquered the mountain though with a controversy that he hadn't helped another ailing person reach safety while at a high altitude on the mount(the man persihed at the end).
On 15 May 2006, after forty days of climbing, Mark Inglis became the first ever double amputee to reach the summit of Mount Everest.

To fix loose chair legs, you can try tightening the screws or bolts connecting the legs to the chair. If that doesn't work, you may need to replace the screws or use wood glue to secure the legs in place.
