Sequential Cascading Gains - Fancy way of saying distortion. Usually, the distortion channels built in on amps sucks. It's better than nothing, but if you can, get a pedal that suits the sound you want. You can get a cheesy metallica sound using the SCG channel by turning the low & hi EQ knobs all the way up and the mid EQ knob all the way down.

What is the effect of connecting a left and right channel of a speaker to the amplifier's right channel speaker terminal A and B and what will be the effect on the speakers and amplifier?

Connecting speaker leads to both right outputs, A&B, will only play the right channel of the sound (in mono) when both pairs of speakers, A and B are turned on. This won't damage the amplifier or speakers, but you won't be listening in stereo.
