The 1969 All-Star game was rained out, and it was played the following day, during daylight hours (to make sure players could get back for the next day's scheduled games). It was the last time an All-Star game was played during the day.

If the game does not have enough innings to be considered a complete game (4 innings) than the game is post poned to a different day. The game picks up where it left off.
