Obviously, the injuries. Depending on which sport you play different injuries are frequent and serious, not only short term but later in life your body can "wear down" quicker.

There are many risks involved in playing sports. When first starting up a sport for the first time that season, your muscles won't be used to the exertion you put on them. If you over work your muscles, they can tear too much and cause pain. Advil can fix this luckily. Bending/squatting/kneeling can be especially rough on your knees and upper thighs. Jumping and running can cause muscle pains. Cuts, scrapes, burns (floor/grass) can cause irritation or infection. Bruises are painful and can cause discomfort if the same area is repeatedly hit or injured.
Dehydration and heat exhaustion occur and can be very serious. The best way to avoid this is to drink plenty of fluids (water/sports drinks) and keep out the of sun when possible.
Rotator cuffs and tendons can get injured from throwing for long periods of time.
Hard falls and knocks to the head can cause brain damage. Although this doesn't happen nearly as often as a cut or bruise would, they are still serious and should be avoided.
Hope this covers it all!
There is always the risk of getting injured no matter how much you warm up... that's all I know, sorry...
