Major League players don't get vacation time in the same sense as people in most jobs do. However, there are a variety of rules that allow players to have time off for specific reasons; for example, Baseball now has a "bereavement list" to allow players who have had a death or serious illness in their family to take time away from the team. Of course, there's also the offseason; although players need to keep themselves in shape during this time, they're allowed to take vacations as they see fit.
