Yes. I watched the ABC Monday Night Baseball telecast of July 4th, 1977, and, in making one of his first starts for the Reds since coming in a trade from the Mets, Seaver threw a pitch to Atlanta's Biff Pocoroba that, according to announcer Bob Uecker, the JUGS gun timed at 101 mph. Pocoroba lined it for a double. Other pitchers working in the majors that year who reached 100 mph would have been Nolan Ryan, Rich Gossage, J.R. Richard, Jim Kern, John D'Acquisto, Terry Forster, and perhaps Bart Johnson, Jim Palmer, and Len Barker among others.

Seaver generally sat in the mid-90s with his fastball, but was known to reach the upper 90s at times, too.

If he wanted to, Seaver could reach back and tag 100.
