i reallywant to know that too!! i just bought some and ive fallen so manytimes trying to do the "t stop" technique.
For the t stop method you mostly put your balance on your front leg. Want to bend it slightyly for balance and then you basically just "drag the other foot".
As you get better there is a better way to stop if you need to stop in a hurry. Its hard to explain how but its similar to how ice skaters stop to spray ice. This is my perfered method to stop because its much faster but it harder to perfect.
