It affects many people, for example lebanese women who wear hijabs (i am lebanese myself), may feel uncomfortable swimming in public places considering the fact that not many lebanese women swim in public.

Most of them can't get the physical fitness they need because they either don't feel welcome if they're the only lebanese woman swimming.

Also, if you attend a sports team/group, and your culture has a bad history towards some other cultures you may feel alone and not wanted playing in a team with those people. Maybe your coach doesn't accept you and uses racism against you, forcing you to back away and not participate in sport.

I hope this isnt too long, i just wanted to explain :)
