What is more popular the summer or winter Olympics?

Summer olypmics are events surrounding sports such as swimming, Track and Field, Weightlifting, etc etc. The winter Olympics only have events that are ice and snow related, like skating, hockey, skiiing and other things like Snowboarding and such. The winter olypmics are held during the winter time and the summer Olympics are held during the summer.

I believe that both are appealing, depends. but if I have to say anything, I think the summer ones are more mass appealing due to personal accessibility with the sports, more emotionally driven past times in summer in my opinion for the average person. I personally think some winter games are more for people that are exposed to it that are more appealing. Like skiing, bobsled, just to name a few. I think the average person doesn't go "bobsledding" on the weekend or even on vacation. but my answer is based on what an average person is able to do like swimming, basketball, baseball, soccer, running, weightlifting, while they don't have to be Olympians to enjoy it. but i honestly like to watch some winter games, I can't honestly say I have done anything cold weather besides build a snow man if they are snow that day.

Normally the Summer Olympics cost more than the Winter Olympics; however, the 2014 Sochi Olympics were the most expensive Olympics of all time. The 2014 Winter Olympics cost an estimated 51 billion dollars compared to the second most expensive Olympics which were the Summer 2008 Beijing Olympics which has an estimated cost of about 40 billion dollars.

I would say the summer Olympics is far more expensive than the winter Olympics because although both run for about 2 weeks there are far more participants in the summer games.
