∙ 10y agoBoth athletes need almost equivalent portions of protein during the training phase. This is because protein is used primarily to repair the damage to muscle fibers during training. Endurance athletes and strength athletes damage their muscles in different ways however, which leads to the formation of differing types of musculature.

It was believed that amateur athletes try the hardest to attain feats of strength and endurance. The original Olympic Committee believed professional athletes would have an unfair advantage.
Bee pollen is often used by athletes to improve strength, endurance, energy, and speed. It is said to help muscles recover more quickly from exercise and to increase mental stamina.
Mitochondria can be compared to athletes in basketball because they are like the powerhouses of the cell, producing energy for cellular activities much like how athletes use their physical strength and endurance to perform in a game. The endoplasmic reticulum is also similar to athletes as it plays a key role in protein synthesis and transport within the cell, similar to how athletes must constantly work on improving their skills to excel in the game.
Most athletes stretch and eat a very healthy meal before competing to give them strength and make sure they're loose.
Improving aerobic capacity and endurance is not a primary training goal for anaerobic athletes, as their sport relies more on short bursts of high intensity activity rather than sustained aerobic efforts. Instead, anaerobic athletes usually focus on improving power, speed, and strength through specific training techniques such as interval training, plyometrics, and resistance training.
Dexterity and endurance may be needed to complete skill related fitness activities. These will likely test one's strength as well.

A strength and conditioning coach's responsibilities are: make sure all players are supervised in the weight room, assist athletic trainer with rehabilitation of athletes, maintain thorough and accurate records of an athletes' workout, keep athletes health throughout the season by teaching proper lifting techniques and preventative and corrective exercises.
Anaerobic exercise is an exerciseintense enough to trigger lactic acid formation. It is used by athletes in non-endurance sports to promote strength, speed and power and by body builders to build muscle mass.
Some athletes take a form of steroids - known as anabolic-androgen steroids or just anabolic steroids - to increase their muscle mass and strength. Epoetin, a synthetic form of erythropoietin, is commonly used by endurance athletes. It increases production of red blood cells and hemoglobin, resulting in improved movement of oxygen to the muscles.
Strength, speed, and endurance are three key physical skills involved in athletics. Strength helps athletes generate power for explosive movements, speed is crucial for quick acceleration and sprinting, and endurance is essential for sustaining performance over an extended period. Striking a balance between these skills can enhance overall athletic performance.
