Typically around 20-30 seconds is sufficient to soften the gum shield for molding to your teeth. Be sure to follow the specific instructions provided with your gum shield for the best results.
Gum can not evaporate but it can mold and stain things in hot temperatures.
There is no limit to how much a gum shield could cost. There are very cheap gum shields that wont last long.
Yes I left a open PACK of gum under my bed and a month later it had mold on it!!!!! NASTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You super glue it in
It would normally tell you in the instructions but for whatever reason if you do not have them then all you do is put boiling water in a bowl, enough water for the gum shield to be fully submerged, then carefully put the gum shield in and wait about 2 - 3 minutes. By this time it should be soft and flexible then you put it in your mouth and bite down and mold it against your teeth then leave it to cool and go hard then your ready for action :)
gum sheilds are made out rubber aka cylecomb rubber to prevent damage to your teeth.
A gum shield is just another name for a mouth guard. These can be used when playing sports. In sports they will help protect your teeth form getting hurt. Other gum shields are use to help prevent snoring.
I would use alcohol then re-due whatever the mold covered.
