No, a standard baseball is smaller than a standard softball.
no
Well, I have actually done this with a radar gun and can confirm a golf ball can be thrown faster. Golf balls are smaller, dense and dimpled to cut the air and fly far. An MLB pitcher could likely throw a golfball about 10mph faster than a baseball.
When hitting a softball you can hear the tink off of the bat. When you hit a baseball you hear kind of a slap and therefore when you hit a baseball goes farther.
If softball was easy, Boys would play too. ❤ And you know I'm right... :P
not typically.. the softball is bigger than the baseball and is thrown underhand, typically making it slower. -Yes, throwing underhand is not as fast as a baseball pitch. But, in softball you have less time to react to the ball than you would in baseball. So technically softball.
The softball has longer legs.
Softball pitches have been measured at faster than the record baseball pitch of 104 mph.
the thing about softball is that the ball thrown by the pitcher is different than baseball in baseball they trow it normal and in softball the pitcher trows it as a circular form, and baseball is played most by man and softball women.
It is harder to hit a softball thrown from a perfesional softball player than it is to hit a baseball thrown from a major leager. The reason is the angle of the pitch (softball has more of an angle there for it is harder to hit) and the quickness/speed( softball mounds are closer to the plate and a softball, lets say from jenny finch, can be thrown at upwards of 68 mph; therefor it gets to the plate quiker than a 90 mph baseball pitch). IF you think what I wrote isn't true then google SPORTS SCIENCE BASEBALL VS. SOFTBALL. you will see (its a video) what I said is true,
A baseball for sure. Baseballs have a denser mass than softballs, and because they are smaller they have less air resistance. This is the reason that in baseball the fences and bases are farther than in softball (regulation baselines in baseball is 90', softball is 60' ).
Softball is probably harder. Despite the name, a softball is harder than a baseball, and heavier (therefore harder to hit very far). Because of this, the batter must run to the base quicker as the ball will be closer. Plus, in fastpitch softball, the pitches can be as fast (or faster)than baseball pitches.
Yes a softball is bigger than a baseball.
No, a standard baseball is smaller than a standard softball.
softball uses a bigger ball than baseball and softball uses bigger bats than baseball.
A softball!
Softball fields are actually much smaller than baseball fields. This makes softball a faster paced game. It also makes it so that you have to have fast reflexes to play successfully in the infield.
