The raised pitching area in baseball is called the pitcher's mound. It is positioned in the center of the infield and is elevated to give the pitcher a higher vantage point when throwing the ball.
When a relief pitcher comes in while leading & does not give up the lead when game concluded.
Not necessarily. A pitcher could have a decent ERA but give up several hits and walks an inning. An adequate way to evaluate a pitcher would be to look at his WHIP (walks and hits per inning pitched), along with ERA
To tip a pitch means you are doing something different to tip off the fact the pitcher is about to throw a particular pitch. A subtle change in delivery such as arm angle or speed of delivery. It could be in the way the pitcher grips or re-grips the ball in his glove. A pitcher wants to prepare for each pitch exactly the same way so he/she does not give away what pitch is coming.

'Give up a home run' is a term for a pitcher who has thrown a pitch that a batter has hit for a home run. When a batter hits a home run you might here the announcer say 'That was the 4th home run given up by [pitcher] this season'. That means the pitcher has thrown four pitches that batters have hit for home runs.
This probably means that if he gave up, say, 5 hits over 6 innings, maybe 1 in each of the first 5 innings. In other words, he didn't give up all 5 hits to 5 consecutive batters.
The Ball has energy in the form of potential energy as if it was released it would fall to the ground. The pitcher uses chemical energy to move his arm and give momentum to the ball. The ball's energy is now transformed to kinetic energy as it moves through the air.
