There are a lot of different rules of this sport. It just depends on what level and what category. If you were being judged in a solo in ISI-Freestyle 5, the rules for this level would be your music should be as long as 2 minutes, and it can only be a few seconds over but no less than 2 min. Then you must finish on time with the music or there will be point deduction. You must complete a series of Jumps, Spins, Footwork, and a Dance Step that are in that level. If you don't, points will be deducted. Also, you are not alowed to perform skating moves that are in your level or lower than your level.

Your dance has to be at least 2 munites long. and to skate a perfect skate with no errors or falls time does not matter BTW

yes, in competitions and tests there are rules. like when you are start or finish your program you can't be laying/on the ice
