As with many aspects of Skateboarding equipment, personal preference is the number one qualifier when asking "which is better?" As a general rule, though, weight is not something that has any benefit on a skateboard. Therefore, as a rule, lighter trucks are "better." However, although there are a few truck brands who advertise that they are lighter, the difference in weight between the professional quality trucks is fairly small. The heavier trucks tend to be the cheaper ones made out of cheaper material, often cast in China and not backed or promoted by a professional team.
With almost every aspect of skateboarding gear, the brands that are made by skateboarders and supported by skateboarders, are the best quality products. These include these brands: Independent, Thunder, Venture, Ace, Silver, Royal, Krux, Theeve, Destructo, Ruckus, Force, and probably a couple others.
Check these brands, or any brands that catch your eye, but be sure to see that they are backed by real professional skateboarders before making your purchase if you want to ensure that you're getting professional quality product.
Note: these brands are the most successful brands in contemporary street and park and vert skateboarding. Longboard skateboards have evolved into an entirely different group and while the quality of the products for longboards is just as important, a whole new set of standards and products has emerged designed specifically for those boards. Do research to find out what works for these boards... although Independent, Thunder, Ace and Theeve all have great turning radii for longboards as well.
The weight rating.
Personal prefence both are outstanding trucks ok tensors are good but theyr heavy thunders are light weight an just as strong as tensors i have used both an i think thunders are way better...ive been skating for 5 years
A heavy brick is better unless you're Super Mario then you probably prefer a light one.

The F150, F250, and F350 are light duty trucks. The F450, F550, and F650 are medium duty trucks. The F750 is a heavy duty truck. They're only dump trucks if they have a dump body installed on them.
You use trucks because you want to do heavy work in transporting goods or if you are in the construction business you want to make your work easier. You need trucks because other transport is too light to do your work. Or carry large items.

A "Big" truck is a non-technical term. It can mean a large pickup, or a semi-truck. Trucks are classified as light medium and heavy.
Light. Heavy armor might get in the way and weigh you down. Light is much more attractive of course ;). Heavy armor does offer a lot of benefits though.
Dad installed a light in the basement so he could see better when he works on his projects. Bricks are heavy and feathers are light.
