If i were you i would just go to your local skate shop and buy how ever much grip you need. If that doesn't meet your needs you could probably get it at a hardware store, but i would recommend calling first so you don't end up wasting your time.
No its just sand paper in a long version. There are many differt grits of sand paper though.

No, they do not cling to bits of paper and sand. Honey bees are primarily focused on collecting nectar and pollen from flowers to bring back to the hive. They do not collect non-essential items like paper and sand.
Sandpaper is exactly what it sounds like - sand glued down onto paper. Sand is a rough material because it is made of tiny sharp-edged rock fragments.

Its a *cemical* that does NOT mix with water. Its like oil, it does not mix with water. so thats why whenever u pull out the sand its dry.
Yes, sand can get trapped by filter paper, especially if the sand particles are larger than the pores in the filter paper. The filter paper acts as a barrier that allows liquids to pass through while trapping solid particles like sand.
Sand stays on the filter paper because the filter paper has small pores that allow liquid to pass through while trapping larger particles like sand. The sand is too large to pass through the pores of the filter paper, so it remains on top of the paper when the liquid drains through.
